There’s a problem in America.
In the past 20 years, there has been a significant decrease in the number of Americans who go to church as well as those who would consider themselves to be a practicing Christian.
In the past 20 years, there has been a significant increase in suicide rates, mental illness, gender dysmorphia and confusion regarding sexual ethic. The cost of living has increased and the number of people living below the poverty line has also increased. The housing market and stock market is unstable. We’ve lived through a pandemic, two recessions, and the prices at Whole Foods don’t even seem that outrageous anymore.
There’s a problem in America and there’s only one solution: more disciples.
The term that’s used throughout Scripture to describe a disciple suggests deep spiritual formation. A disciple isn’t just someone who goes to church once a week: a disciple is someone whose love for and devotion to Jesus permeates every aspect of their lives.
God has given our church a vision for the next 10 years. We want to be a church that multiplies disciple makers that changes the world. We want to be a church that is Jesus-centered, discipleship-driven, and transformation-focused. We want to see lives change. We want to be obedient. We want to see the glory of Jesus here on earth.
Let the Kingdom come.
